Resort Activities
There are so many adventures to be had at Pleasant View Resort! The best part is, you can enjoy a relaxing day with your family and friends without ever having to leave our little paradise. Let us paint you a picture with a few resort activity suggestions:
- Have a picnic or a barbecue and lounge around while you relax in the sun.
- Throw a small family reunion at the lake.
- Stock up on snacks and beverages at our general store and go for a full day boating cruise (we do not have boat rentals or provide boats)
- Get the tubes out and get wild on the water.
- Enjoy our swimming pool with a gorgeous view of the lake.
- Have a campfire and watch the gorgeous sunset over Kentucky Lake.

This beautiful body of water is more than just a lake, it is a playground fit for all ages! With being one of the largest man-made lakes in America, the national recreation area stretches a massive 170,000 acres and allows for all sorts of adventures! There are plenty of things to do with the kids that will keep everyone happy!
Hunting and Fishing
We are so blessed to be surrounded by outstanding wildlife resources and lush forests that create the perfect habitat for hunting and fishing lovers alike. The marina gives you access to multiple remote public hunting locations that are perfect for finding deer, turkey, duck, squirrel and fishing! Fishing Frenzy
Cast your cares away on the lake that has brought huge success to fishermen around the world! Odds are if you follow professional and semi-professional fishing tournaments, you have heard a thing or two about the lake known as the, “Crappie Capital of the World.” But actually, the infamous Kentucky Lake is also known for a variety of different catches such as bass, brim and cat fishing. Our secluded location on West Sandy Bay is specifically known for its outstanding bass fishing and ample fishing opportunities provided to our guests, we even have a fish cleaning station and electrical outlets! The best part is that your level of skill is irrelevant due to the fact that our marina is perfect for a professional angler the same way it would be for junior’s first catch. Basically, the fish are ALWAYS biting.
Hunting Haven
We are fortunate to be located on the migration route between Canada and Mexico for outstanding duck and goose hunting! But if deer is more your style, the crisp November air makes for a perfect morning hunt around the abundant public hunting grounds. The Tennessee Waterfowl Refuge is within sight of our resort and the hunting is as good as it gets anywhere in Tennessee! There are plenty of public hunting grounds to choose from as the Kentucky Lake area is renowned for its lush landscape and waterfowl. If you are looking for a sportsman’s paradise, Pleasant View Resort will sweep you off of your feet.
